Disabling two-factor authentication for a user

See below to disable two-factor authentication for a single Vault user.

To disable two-factor authentication

  1. Log in to the Vault web GUI using an account with Security Admin privileges.
  2. In the top menu bar, click Security.
  3. Select the Users tab
  4. Select the user for whom you want to disable two-factor authentication.
  5. In the Details tab below the table, click the Enabled link for the Two-Factor Authentication row.
  6. In the Disable Two-Factor Authentication window, click Proceed.

Disabling two-factor authentication for all users

See below to disable two-factor authentication for all Vault users.

To disable two-factor authentication for all users

  1. Log into the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Databases webGUI using an account with Security Admin privileges.
  2. In the top menu bar, click Settings.
  3. In the System Settings section, click Two-Factor Authentication Settings.
  4. On the Two-Factor Authentication Settings page, select NOT ENFORCED.
  5. Click Apply.
